Supplier Facing EDI

Trading electronically with suppliers can be a complex and costly task, particularly as more suppliers come on board.

Wesupply’s fully managed supplier facing EDI service, OneTime Community, removes the complexities of multiple communication methods, formats and protocols, whilst enabling clear and accurate decision making through complete visibility of the supply chain.

Wesupply has developed OneTime Community in recognition of the challenges involved in supplier facing EDI. We understand that as more suppliers come on board, the various dimensions, permutations and costs of EDI increase further and for many companies the initial process of on-boarding suppliers can also be a huge drain on resources.

Wesupply also appreciated that e-invoicing is a key aspect of electronic trading for companies with a large number of suppliers. In addition to providing visibility of the order-to-invoice cycle, OneTime Community provides clients with key invoice matching functionality to manage invoice errors. Clients are able to automate the tricky process of matching each invoice line value to the purchase order price and each invoice quantity to the receipt quantity, which speeds up the approval process.

OneTime Community has been developed to be fully scalable, in recognition that companies may be at different stages in terms of electronic trading. E-invoicing is the first step some companies take in moving away from costly and inefficient paper based processes, however, clients can easily expand upon e-invoicing and transfer other documents electronically with their suppliers, such as purchase orders, remittance advices, credit notes and debit notes.

With one version of the truth, shared with suppliers, a collaborative network can be created, where buyers and suppliers can work together to improve supply chain performance. OneTime Community has additional Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) functionality that can be deployed across the whole order-to-cash cycle providing insight into key business processes to enable better and more confident decision making.

Building confidence in supplier performance allows inventory, in the form of safety stock, to be removed from the supply chain, freeing up vital cash to the business. Eliminating unnecessary inventory makes the business fitter and leaner, placing it in a stronger position to compete.

Here at Wesupply we recognise that your requirements differ dramatically depending on whether you require an EDI solution to communicate with your customers, suppliers or maybe a combination of the two. In recognition, Wesupply has developed four scalable EDI solutions

Customer Facing EDI

Confused by your customers’ EDI requirements or struggling to handle the multiple communication methods mandated by your customers?

A common scenario for suppliers. However, with the threat of penalties or lost business, non-compliance is not an option.

Recognising this Wesupply developed OneTime, a fully managed EDI service. Connect just once to the Wesupply network, using your preferred method, while still meeting your customers’ EDI requirements.

Something which has been a key factor for many of our customers in choosing our customer facing EDI solutions, is the speed of deployment. We understand that suppliers are often under pressure to trade electronically with their customers as soon as possible – sometimes in a matter of weeks. As OneTime is delivered as a fully managed solution, with consultancy, integration and trading partner on-boarding forming key elements of the service, customer deadlines can be met without any stress or additional cost to you.

Wesupply recognises that the number of customers you need to communicate with has an impact on your EDI requirements, which is why OneTime is a fully scalable solution. Our four OneTime offerings – ranging from simple EDI using a web browser, to deep EDI integration through an electronic trading hub – are designed to provide pre-defined “out of the box” packages, which can be implemented quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, however, they can also be tailored to your specific needs as and when required. For example, we understand that some customers require a solution which enables them to trade with both their customers and suppliers – this is not a problem with OneTime.
