Supplier collaboration was a critical objective for The Perfume Shop, who ultimately wanted to improve efficiency of their B2B processes through effective collaboration with suppliers. By outsourcing the project to Wesupply’s fully managed B2B service, the Perfume Shop can improve its inventory planning process through improved visibility of product information, reduce excess inventory, improve product availability, and improve efficiency across the full order and goods received cycle, consequently enabling improved supplier relations.
A family-owned business since its inception, Searchlight Electric is now the most comprehensive lighting supplier in the UK. Maintaining the best customer service in the industry has become more challenging as the desire to shorten supply cycles increases in parallel with an expanding lighting range. With supply partners predominantly in the Far East, effective communication and collaboration is crucial in protecting the customer experience. Searchlight recognised the need to improve visibility of the progress of manufacture and delivery of ordered goods, and sought a solution that was powerful enough to monitor and alert on the processes involved, but also robust and simple enough for all parties to use. Wesupply was selected to enable a ‘visibility hub’ between Searchlight and supply partners, providing management of orders, milestone tracking, and alerting against business requirements. This managed service monitors the supply chain flow, from orders raised and accepted, to goods manufactured and inspected, to ultimate shipment and receipt of goods. As well as providing visibility of progress to various functions within Searchlight and suppliers, Wesupply also proactively alerts staff to potential supply chain issues before they impact customer service. Searchlight Electric had sought a suitable solution for a number of years before meeting Wesupply; Wesupply are delighted to have been chosen.
