Wesupply, a leading provider of on demand, fully configurable supply chain execution solutions today announced the launch of its new ‘Executive Console'. The console will be used by companies to analyse and aggregate information throughout their supply network, which is then presented in the form of key performance metrics to management, for example inventory quantities, goods in transit, on-hand inventory and cumulative purchase quantity.
The objective is to achieve better decision making based on accurate and up to date information that will allow organisations to optimise working capital tied up in inventory, increase perfect orders and reduce costs throughout the supply network.
Andrew Hubbard, Director of Product Development at Wesupply, comments: "By giving customers visibility of demand, orders and inventory across the extended Supply Chain at an aggregated level we are able to provide key decision makers with a real-time view of how their business is performing."
Chris Streete, Global Solutions Director at Wesupply adds: "Wesupply is the ideal solution from which to provide supply chain metrics because all of the key transactions, upstream and downstream that flow through the application from: internal divisions; trading partners; customers; and other third parties such as carriers."
The Executive Console provides organisations with on-line information that has been analysed, aggregated and represented in a visually exciting manner. As it is totally configurable the console can have different metrics and levels of summarisation depending on the user. For example, a senior executive may want to see the value of stock held across all divisions, while a manager may want a more detailed view. The ease of configurability means that within the constraints of security/authorisation, each user can dynamically tailor their own view of the console by selecting the key metrics for display and the default chart type.
Brian Marsden, Wesupply's CEO concludes: "With organisations now moving towards a ‘pull' rather than ‘push' supply chain model, executives need to quickly identify at an aggregate level whether they are meeting customer demands. By deploying Wesupply's Executive Console our clients will have access to real-time business performance information that will allow them to sense and respond to constantly changing customer demands."
