The Lafarge Group is a world leader in building materials and is No. 1 in Cement and Roofing globally. The company operates in 76 countries and has a workforce of over 80,000 people.
OneTime is an electronic trading interface that allows companies like Lafarge Roofing to work with their customers preferred communication protocols without the need to develop, maintain and support an internal integration /mapping solution.
Phase One of this project has seen Lafarge Roofing using OneTime to connect to three of its major merchants and roofing customers. The Company is now positioned to extend electronic trading to other customers with significantly reduced effort.
Customers are putting pressure on suppliers to gear up electronically.
In a recent survey from Aberdeen Research on Supplier Enablement 61% of customers are saying that they are more likely to channel business through suppliers that are fully geared up electronically and complying with electronic mandates. This means that suppliers with no electronic trading policy will be abandoned in favour of those who have greater competency and can demonstrate their commitment through continuous improvement.
A spokesperson for Wesupply.com said: 'The report on supplier enablement seems to draw one unambiguous conclusion: gear up or ship out - there are no alternatives to remaining competitive in today's demand driven world'.
OneTime is a cost effective and least invasive solution to satisfying customer mandates.
For Lafarge Roofing driving forward with the power of OneTime means a highly scalable solution that will grow with the business and the demands of their customers.
